Quick fix to calm the mind

“…and then he said… but did I get this right… blah, blah, blah… you’re not focusing, you need to focus… did I shut off the lights today… blah, blah, blah…”

We all know what obsessive mind feels like. And it’s not a great feeling. Essentially, it’s a whole bunch of thoughts colliding with rather aggressive, loud, busy chaos. But how we are going to get out of all the noise has everything to do with how invested you are in the noise. If you figure you need to be thinking this junk, or if you figure something important might be sitting amongst the chaos, or if you are in resistance or some kind of controlling fight for it to stop, or if you are invested in turning all those thoughts into positive, life-affirming thoughts, you are giving it juice!

Let’s not give it juice. Let’s find a much easier way out!
